Mission Statement

The Ushers Ministry serves with a spirit of excellence by helping members and visitors feel welcome and comfortable. Ushers play an essential role in insuring that all services run smoothly by directing those who have come to worship and serve with spiritual dignity during the entire service.

Commitment

  • Please be at your assigned area 15 minutes before service begins.
  • Be committed. (2 Wednesdays and 3 Sundays and any Special Events)
  •  Make sure the Unified Offering envelopes are placed in the back of each seat.
  • Always remember to SMILE, be polite and communicate clearly to the Worshippers.
  • Work to serve problems and answer questions.
  •  Welcome everyone while escorting them to their seat
  •  Attempt to seat everyone. (This doesn't mean that Members/Visitors can't sit where they would like). Don't point to a seat as oppose to seating someone. You're responsible to SEAT not POINT.
  •  Walk slowly when escorting a Member/Visitor to their seat. If you're walking too fast you may loose the person you're escorting. Place your hand on the row that you've selected and face the Member/Visitor. (They will know exactly where you would like for them to sit)
  •  The Seed Baskets will be brought into the Finance Office by 2 Ushers.
  • Don't attempt to make change nor put your hands in the Seed Baskets at any time.
  • Whatever is given is Confidential. You're not allowed to discuss anyone's contribution!!
  •  Be involved in the events of the service.
  • If children become disruptive during Worship Service, count to 20. If the parent isn't preparing to leave, offer the parent assistance and make them aware of the Toddler Ministry. (Remember to always be GENTLE)
  •  Communion is served on the 1st Sunday of the month.  Please be at your assigned post.
  •  Ushers should be in position for the Altar Call. When Pastor ends Worship Service, the doors should be opened by an Usher.
  • Ushers should pickup after Worship Service. (ex. picking up trash, place bibles in the appropriate areas and collect any items that were left behind by Members/Visitors)
  •  Strive to be a part of the Team!! We want to create an atmosphere where Guest will want to come back again!!
